The Key Mittens are worked from the wrist up. The thumb is worked at the end. The mittens are worked either on a long circular needle using the Magic Loop technique or on double-pointed needles.

Size guide

Use a measuring tape to measure around your hand at the knuckles. The sizes 4-7 years (7-10 years) S (M) L fit an approximate hand circumference of 14-15 (15-17) 17-18 (18-20) 20-22 cm {5½-6 (6-6¾) 6¾-7 (7-7¾) 7¾-8¾ inches}.

Gauge: 20 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm {4 x 4 inches} in colorwork pattern and stockinette stitch on a 4 mm {US6} needle

Needles: 3.5 mm {US4} and 4 mm {US6} / 80 cm {32 inches} circular needles if using the Magic Loop technique, or 3.5 mm {US4} and 4 mm {US6} double-pointed needles
